Our church school, the Cossack Cadet School in honor of the “Don” Icon of the Mother of God, held its final day for the academic year 2021-2022 on Saturday, June 4, 2022. 

The event began with Thanksgiving Molebin and a group photograph in the church and then the teachers and pupils of the school along with their parents went to the church hall for the program and a final meal.

This year our church school was divided into two groups, one with pupils from ages 5-9 and a second one with pupils from 9-12. The school met on Saturdays and offered Orthodox catechism, Russian language and literature, Church Slavonic language, physical education and art.

During the program in the church hall our pupils recited poetry demonstrating their language skills and Church Slavonic projects and art were exhibited on stands for all to enjoy the accomplishments of our pupils and teachers.

Upon the distributing report cards, bouquets of flowers and many thanks to parents, teachers and pupils, the Father Rector, Archpriest Paul Volmensky blessed the table and very pleasant meal of shashlyk and fixings were enjoyed by all.
