Join us for Octobor 12th, 2019 for the 6th Annual Russian Festival in the heart of Downtown Sacramento! Our doors open at 11am and we close at 5pm. The event is located at our church, Holy Ascension Russian Orthodox Church, 714 13th St. Sacramento, CA, 95814. The proceeds will be dedicated to the continuation of our renovation project. 

Our 6th Annual Russian Festival is a family friendly event where we open the doors of our community to the greater Sacramento Area.  At our event guests are able to get to know our parish community of Holy Ascension Russian Orthodox Church. It is possible to view the beautiful interior of our church building. If you have any questions about the church, our parish, or Orthodoxy in general, there will be two church tours at 2:05pm and 3:35pm. Our festival is a fund raising event that helps our community be able to function and bring programs to our families. The proceeds from our past festivals have helped renovate our parish buildings, most recently gilding our beautiful gold domes, and it will be possible to see these results at this year’s festival!

Event Times: 11am-5pm.  Performances Start: 12pm. Two Church Tours: 2:05pm & 3:35pm. 

Admission: $5 for Adults, $3 for Students, Childern under the age of 12 are free! You pay at the Entrance.

Parking: There are two medium sized parking-lots right next to the event and street parking around the area; however, the space is limited and there are other lots that belong to the city of Sacramento conveniently located two to three blocks away. There will be a parking map posted closer to the event. 

Indoor Dining: There will be a variety of Russian dishes, as well as drinks and desserts in the Church Hall provided by our talented Sisterhood.

BBQ/Outdoor Dining: At  Ataman’s Shashlik there will be Traditional Russian BBQ, as well as our famous and delicious Plof! And Hot Dogs for kids. 

Beverages: There will be Award Winning Wine for sale in the Wine Garden, and a Coffee Bar where you can cool down with some refreshing iced coffee.

The whole event is family friendly with entertainment suitable for both adults and children. 

Wheelchair Accessible: The event grounds are wheelchair accessible, including audience seating, the indoor and outdoor dining areas, the restrooms; likewise, there is a ramp into the church building.
