The Sisterhood of Holy Ascension Church was dedicated to the "Kursk-Root" Icon of the Mother of God way back during the founding of our church in 1954. The Holy Icon's Feast is celebrated a few times during the year. Our Sisterhood celebrates the annual feast that falls also on the Feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, 8//21 of September. Traditionally, we always congratulate our Sisters on the following Sunday; in this case September 26. Our Head Sister, Matushka Tatiana, will be preparing dinner. Please, join in and support!
